Early works Magic Kaito the road towards success

Aoyama-sensei first work is Magic Kaito which features main character, Kaito Kuroba, a high school student who succeeds his father as the 2nd generation of the phantom thief, also known as 1412 or Kaito Kid. The irony in this story is that the police officer that has dedicated his life into catching the phantom thief is actually his future girlfriend childhood friend Aoko Nakamori's father. Several characters from this manga has also made an appearance in Detective Conan.

2nd work Yaiba the road towards success

Yaiba, unlike Magic Kaito has more action in it. Protagonist Kurogane Yaiba that has been living in the forest with his father for several years was suddenly forced to live in the civilized city of Tokyo after a minor incident. In order to improve himself, he went around looking for stronger opponents and eventually come across high school student, Onimaru, the main villian of this story. Upon defeated by Yaiba, Onimaru swears revenge and subsequent events turned him into a demon who plans to overtake the world!

Latest work Detective Conan his major sucess

Detective Conan , is tied in pretty closely with Magic Kaito in terms of the setting. In fact, characters from Magic Kaito has made several appearances in this manga series and such cases have proven to be popular among the fans. The story starts off with famous high school detective from Tokyo, Shinichi Kudo was on a date with his childhood friend, Ran Mouri in Tropical Land where he came across 2 men dressed in black having an illegal transaction. Unfortunately, 1 of them found out about him spying on him and knocked him unconscious. In an attempt to kill Shinichi, the man (Gin) forced him to take a pill that was still a test subject. Thus, instead of killing him, it only shrunk his body to that of a 6 year old. Hence, Edogawa Conan was borned.
